About Tundra Bubble Hash
Tundra bubble hash is made using organically grown fresh frozen flowers and contains only 45-153u trichomes from the first wash. Tundra is a cultivar bred from Passion #1 and Russian ruderalis, known for its' spicy and sour flavour, with giant white sticky trichomes. From the farm to the lab, our growers and processors are drawn to its unique aroma. With 6% total terpenes, its' profile is dominated by β-Caryophyllene, β-Myrcene, and α-Humulene.
What is Aged Hash?
Hash like a fine wine can be aged for many years prior to consumption. A full spectrum ice water hash also known as bubble hash can be aged like traditional hash to deliver a flavour that you do not get with fresh hash. Like how liquors and wines can be aged in barrels or bottles, our bubble hash is aged in our initial mylar final packages and has not been opened since the date it was final packaged on.
The chemical composition of cannabis varies with age as the main cannabinoids, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabinol (CBN) and their respective acidic forms are unstable to oxidation in air and exposure to UV. Hash from different geographical areas has a different physical appearance, density, elasticity, moisture, flavour and content. This is due mainly due to different ageing processes, storage conditions and the process the hash was created initially through, as samples of hash tested from different geographical areas of the world produced differently to show different degrees of changes in Phytocannabinoids over time.
Therefore, an aged hash is freshly cured hash that has undergone a chemical transformation to be more malleable, smoother in texture, darker in colour, and burn slowly when compared to a fresh hash, while stored at set environmental conditions for a length of time.
