TLDR: Beware the sticks and seeds!!
Let me start right off by saying I'm the one who's been writing all the reviews of CBD dried flower products begging Herbal Dispatch to bring back the LoFi offerings since their Infused Hemp Flower is to this day the single best strain of cannabis I have ever been blessed to smoke.
I first came across their Nostalgia Hemp (which at the time was listed at 4% terpenes) when buying other CBD flowers here but it was always sold out and I've been dying to try it since. Seeing it back in stock, I found it strange that the terpene percentage for this batch went down but I didn't make too much of it and bought a whole ounce at once because of how much I loved LoFi's Infused Hemp and how fast that product had sold out when I doscovered it.
This was a huge mistake. Surprisingly and very disappointingly, I would say this is in the lower middle tear of all the different CBD strains/batches I've ever had. Sure it smells pretty good, has relatively sticky buds and the effects are slightly more pronounced and relaxing than other CBD strains however the issue is mostly in how it's trimmed. If you have some time to kill to meticulously pick out stems and seeds then it's pretty great and would probably get a 4/5 from me because I enjoy it's effects but as it is, the buds are mostly leaves, stems and seeds so for this to not hurt your throat and lungs (not to mention taste absolutely horrible) when smoking it, you'd need to break down each bud by hand leaf by leaf because the seeds are also much more hidden within the buds compared to other strains who's seeds are nearer to the surface of the buds and can mostly fall out with a good shake of the bag. This is comparable to the Daydreamin' CBD smalls (which is better than this in every single way except for having a slightly milder relaxing effect) but is also 3 times more expensive which is honestly ridiculous. This isn't even mentioning that it doesn't taste great even if you do manage to pick out all the seeds and stems. It's fine, not disgusting or anything but it just tastes very "generic" and "leafy" almost like what I imagine smoking non-cannabis plant matter like grass of actual tree leaves might taste like without having any real distinct or potent cannabis/terpene flavors.
What I love about old cannabis from 40+ years ago is how cheap it was, the fact that it was mostly grown naturally and that you could smoke as much as you want of it without the effects being intense or even all that noticeable beyond relaxation and a nice headspace (all 3 of which are what most if not all current CBD strains already provide). What I don't like about old cannabis is how badly it was trimmed and how many stems and seeds you had to pick out from it to make it smokeable. Unfortunately they took more of the bad than the good on this one and at 120$/OZ there is no way I could ever recommend this strain to anyone no matter how much I love and respect LoFi for what they did with that one batch of Infused Hemp flowers. Like I said earlier the DayDreamin' CBD from Grown Here is less than a third of the Nostagia's price (for the smalls) and it looks better, smells better, tastes better and does everything better save for having slightly less potent effects but in my eyes that's a very small price to pay for not having to deal with a badly trimmed batch full of sticks and seeds that take forever to pick out (and no matter how hard you comb through each bud there's always at least one that you overlook and ends up ruining your joint).
LoFi, this breaks my heart. Please never ever do this again, you're better than this. And THANK YOU to Herbal Dispatch for bringing back these products after I asked for this on nearly every review I wrote for all the current dried CBD flower products, there was no way you could have known about them having such a bad batch this time after their last one was so insanely amazing and if they ever make some more of that Infused Hemp Flower PLEASE don't let this review dissuade you from stocking those, I will personally buy every last bag of them if they ever return!! In the meantime this is yet another endorsement for the Daydreamin' CBD from Grown Here, 2nd best strain of all time to me and arguably number one if you want bang for your buck since again it's about A THIRD of the price for something of very slightly lesser quality that still perfectly does the job.
